Day 4 in Mexico

I hope everyone is enjoying the snow in New Jersey.  Today was a chilly day.  Although we did not have snow, we did have to wear our jackets to keep warm.  Before leaving the hotel this morning, Morgan spotted an orange tree and wanted to stop and have some breakfast.

Did you know that oranges grow on trees?

After a long bus ride, we arrived at Dos Estrellas

(2 stars) Silver Mine.  We looked at beautiful rocks with colorful crystals and stones.  A long time ago, people worked in the mine.  In the mine, they found lots of gold and silver. Before leaving, Morgan signed the guest book.

This is the entrance to the mine. What do you think it looks like inside?

Morgan spotted this wonderful creation outside as we were walking back to our bus.  What do you think it could be?

We spent the rest of the day touring the city of Morelia and shopping in an indoor fleamarket.  Morgan and I found some great things and we can’t wait to bring them back to show everyone.

  1. Mia said that she knows why Morgan landed on the oranges. “Mommy told me that those oranges have nectar in them and Morgan probably wants to sip the nectar with her proboscis. Neme wants you to know that Morgan had another great day. Maia said “Oh yeah, and don’t forget the the horses name should be princess and her last name should be sleeping beauty!”

  2. Maia just asked me if you are eating a tortilla sandwich with chips inside of it for lunch… she wants to know what the weather is like outside today… cloudy, sunny. Are you singing the weather song to everyone everyday, and do you ask them to point to the colors they are wearing before you bring them to circletime.

    • Hi Maia,
I have been eating tortilla sandwiches but they don’t have chips in them. They have cheese. They are called quesadillas, just like the ones we had at our fiesta. I am also eating tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole. All the food here is delicious. The past two days have been raining but I hope it is sunny tomorrow. On the bus, I sang the weather song to my friends Miss Hope and Miss Humeyra. I didn’t ask them what colors they are wearing but I will make sure to ask them tomorrow morning on the bus. What do you predict the weather to be tomorrow? See you soon.
      Miss Liz
